Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、我々が世界で初めて単離生成を実現した新規二次元物質であるホウ化水素シートを基軸とした新規ナノコンポジット材料を調製し、新しい高密度水素貯蔵材料群を創出します。具体的には金属水素化物の微粒子とホウ化水素シートを組み合わせてナノコンポジットを調製し、その水素放出特性・耐久性・繰り返し特性を明らかにします。これらの知見を基に用途に応じて水素放出特性を制御可能な高密度水素貯蔵材料群を創出します。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究の目的は、我々が世界で初めて単離生成を実現した新規二次元物質であるホウ化水素シートを基軸とした新規ナノコンポジット材料を調製し、新しい高密度水素貯蔵材料群を創出することです。本年度は水素吸蔵合金として知られる水素化マグネシウムとニッケルナノクラスターを担持したホウ化水素シートのナノコンポジットの調製を行い評価しました。ホウ化水素シートの特性により、ニッケルアセチルアセトナート錯体とホウ化水素シートをアセトニトリル中で混合するだけで金属Niナノクラスターが高分散で自発的に還元してホウ化水素シート上に成長します。透過電子顕微鏡観察で2 nmの直径でNiナノクラスターが担持されていることが確認されました。解析の結果、MgH2の分解に伴う水素放出を起こす温度が150 K低下することがわかり、見かけの活性化エネルギーをキッシンジャー式による解析から算出した結果128.6 kJ/molであることがわかり、通常のMgH2に比べて約 30kJ/mol低下することがわかりました。さらに、623 Kで最大水素圧力2 MPaの条件下で水素圧力-組成-温度(PCT)曲線をプロットし、ファントホフプロットにより熱力学的エネルギーを算出した結果、水素吸蔵前後でのエンタルピー差には違いが無いこともわかりました。興味深い点は、直径2 nmのニッケルが接触するだけで直径10 nm以上のMgH2全体の水素の分解放出挙動が変化している点です。これはMgH2からの水素放出の律速がヒドリドイオンの酸化を伴う水素-水素結合形成過程であることを示唆する結果となっており、今後この過程の高効率化により水素貯蔵材料としての更なる特性向上が期待できます。また、この研究課題と並行してハイドロジェノミクスの領域内の複数の研究者との共同研究を進めました。この結果、昨年度に引き続き、A05班の濱田先生との共同論文を出版しました。
