Outline of Research at the Start

(質量以外の)銀河団内部の性質と周辺環境との相関(アセンブリ・バイアス)は現在の標準宇宙論であるΛCDM模型で予言されているが、未だ検出されていない。本研究では、可視光及び近赤外、X線、マイクロ波といった多波長データを組み合わせ、さらにすばる望遠鏡Hyper Suprime-Cam(HSC)サーベイのデータを用いて銀河団の弱重力レンズ効果を測定することで、高確度でアセンブリ・バイアスを検出することを目指す。また、銀河団の物理的半径であるスプラッシュバック半径とアセンブリ・バイアスの関係を調べるとともに、スプラッシュバック半径の大きさから暗黒物質の性質に制限を付けることを目指す。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

昨年度に投稿したアセンブリ・バイアスの検出に関する論文は受理され、出版された(Lin et al., A&A, 666, A97, 2022)。また、すばる望遠鏡Hyper Suprime-Camの3年目データを用いた宇宙論解析において、アセンブリ・バイアスによる影響はは統計誤差に対して十分小さく、宇宙論パラメータの測定に影響を及ぼさないことを示した (Miyatake et al., PRD, 123517, 2023)。
今年度は主に銀河団と周囲の環境の物理的境界と考えられるスプラッシュバック半径に関する研究を行った。具体的には最新のX線サーベイeROSITA Final Equatorial-Depth Survey (eFEDS)で検出された109個の銀河団(赤方偏移z<0.75)からなるサンプルとすばる望遠鏡Hyper Suprime-Cam (HSC)で観測された銀河サンプルの相互相関を測定することで、この銀河団サンプルのスプラッシュバック半径を約20%の精度で求めた。この測定は現在まで行われたX線で検出された銀河団におけるスプラッシュバック半径の測定の中で最も精度のよい測定である。また、HSCの銀河サンプルを用いて、この銀河団サンプルの弱重力レンズ効果信号を測定することで、銀河団の質量を求め、ΛCDM標準宇宙模型における同質量の銀河団のスプラッシュバック半径の予言と比べた。その結果、本測定で得られたスプラッシュバック半径はΛCDM標準宇宙模型と整合的であることがわかった。この結果を論文としてまとめ、出版した (Rana et a., MNRAS, 522(3) 4181-4195, 2023)。
