Research Abstract

本年度は昨年度に引き続き2つの課題:(1)「配列ナノ空間デバイスの量子輸送特性への環境効果」と(2)「時間変動電圧下での配列ナノ空間物質の非平衡量子ダイナミクス」に加え、(3)「配列ナノ空間物質の熱物性」に関して研究を行った.
課題(1)では,3つの成果を挙げた。1つ目は、かご状分子内のナノ空間に選択的にパイ分子をスタックさせ、そのパイスタックの伝導特性の有無をSTM-BJ法による実験と第一原理計算の両面から検討し、パイスタック構造の良好な伝導特性を明らかにした。2つ目は、局在した電子スピンを有する単分子架橋において、伝導電子が輸送される際にスピン反転を伴うスピン輸送問題を波束散乱法とグリーン関数法の両面から検討し、スピン反転を伴うスピン輸送の特徴を簡便に捉えるための指針を明らかにした。3つめは、単分子架橋をシクロデキストリン分子で被覆することで、架橋されている分子の構造ゆらぎを掬え、それによって伝導度ゆらぎを小さくすることが可能であることをSTM-BJ法による実験と第一原理計算の両面から明らかにした。
課題(2)では、2つの成果を挙げた。1つ目は、金属カーボンナノチューブの直流と交流電気伝導に及ぼす単原子空孔欠陥の影響に関して、特に欠陥の位置依存性を明らかにした。2つ目は、金属カーボンナノチューブを相互接続線として利用する場合の力率改善と交流発熱を理論的に明らかにした。
課題(3)では、カーボンナノチューブの熱伝導へ及ぼす同位体効果を調べ、ランダムに混入された同位体によるフォノン散乱により熱伝導が劇的に減少し、その結果、カーボンナノチューブの熱電変換効率が向上することを明らかにした。

Reason

交付申請書に記載した3つの課題:(1)配列ナノ空間デバイスの量子輸送特性への環境効果、(2)時間変動電圧下での配列ナノ空間物質の奔平衡量子ダイナミクス、(3)配列ナノ空間物質の熱物性に関して、当初予定していた全ての目的を達成しただけでなく、課題(1)と課題(3)の成果を融合した『熱電相関現象』に関しても重要な結果を得ることができ、当初の計画以上の成果を挙げることができた。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

本研究では、当初予定していなかった重要な成果として、ナノ物質における電気伝導現象と熱伝導現象が互いに相関し合った熱電相関現象を高精度に予測可能なシミュレーション技術の基盤の構築に成功したので、今後においては、この技術をさらに発展させ、熱電相関現象の解明や高効率な熱電変換材料の開発に向けて研究を推進する。
