Research Abstract

研究計画調書に従い、電子貯蔵サイトとしてのビオローゲン(MV^<2+>)を多数導入したマルチビオローゲンユニットを合成し、高効率な光電子貯蔵デバイスを構築することを目的とし研究を展開した。その結果、以下に述べる幾つかの価値ある研究成果を得た。ビオローゲン種を単一の光増感サイトであるトリス(ビピリジン)ルテニウム(II)類縁体と共有結合した多電子貯蔵型光増感剤について、昨年度に合成した[Ru(bpy)_2(4,4'-Mv4)]^<10+>、及び[Ru(4,4'-Mv4)_3]^<26+>錯体に加え、今年度は[Ru(bpy)(4,4'-Mv4)_2]^<26+>の合成に成功し、その光電子貯蔵能を評価した。その結果、新規に合成した[Ru(bpy)(4,4'-MV4)_2]^<26+>についても光多電子貯蔵が促進されることが明らかになった。また、犠牲還元試薬及び水素生成触媒としての白金錯体共存下で光照射を行ったところ光水素生成反応が効率良く進行することが明らかとなった。次に、これら3錯体の機能をより詳細に比較するために、ナノ秒過渡吸収スペクトルの測定を行い電荷分離状態の寿命について評価した。その結果、電子受容サイトの増加と共に寿命が延びる事が明らかとなった。この結果は、電子受容サイト間の電子マイグレーション効果により電荷分離状態の長寿命化が達成できたことを明確に示している。更に、犠牲還元試薬を含む酢酸緩衝溶液中で同様の測定を試みたところ、いずれの錯体においても電荷分離状態の劇的な長寿命化が確認された。この結果は、犠牲還元試薬による電荷分離種の中心金属への電子注入が逆電子移動よりも速く起こる事を示唆している。以上、本課題においては、電子受容サイト間の電子マイグレーション効果により逆電子移動を抑制することで、高効率な光電子貯蔵デバイスを構築することに成功した。
