Research Abstract

研究代表者である浪平は、二酸化炭素雰囲気下において、圧力の増加に伴う絶縁破壊(プラズマ形成)時の発光強度増加、並びに、圧力の増加に伴うレーザアブレーション深さの増加を見出し、加えて、亜臨界水雰囲気下においては、絶縁破壊に伴う新規反応経路を経たフェノールの重合を見出している。これらの成果は、「プラズマエネルギー密度の雰囲気圧力による制御性」及び「高圧雰囲気下形成プラズマの化学反応場としての新規性」を示唆しており、本申請研究では、圧力制御下の液体・気体中にてレーザブレークダウンプラズマを形成することで、「雰囲気液体圧力によるプラズマエネルギー密度(大きさ及び温度)の制御性」や「雰囲気液体(溶媒)による化学反応の選択性」を有する新しい化学反応場を創生する。なお、その評価として、化学反応の核領域となるプラズマ界面における電界、電子温度・密度などの物理的パラメータ及び化学化合物の挙動などの化学的パラメータの計測に取り組む。平成23年度は、圧力を制御した液体・気体へレーザを照射することで、エネルギー密度を制御したプラズマを形成し、そのプラズマと雰囲気液体との界面における電界強度及び電子温度・密度などの物理的パラメータ、並びに、化学化合物の挙動などの化学的パラメータを探求することで、界面の物理的・化学的定義の導出を目指し、レーザブレークダウンプラズマによるインジゴカルミン水溶液の脱色という化学反応場の形成に成功した。しかしながら、インジゴカルミン溶液を高圧封入する容器の不具合より照射レーザ光のエネルギーを上げることが出来ず、結果としてレーザブレークダウンプラズマの活性度をその物理・化学的特性を把握するのに必要なレベルまで十分に上げることが出来なかった。
