ナノ界面プラズマ制御による多電子還元機能表面を持つ高感度可視光応答性光触媒の創製

Research Abstract

本研究は、多電子還元性金属を含む有機金属化合物ガスによるプラズマイオンプロセスにより、多電子還元性金属イオンを酸化物半導体表面層に確実にグラフトさせ、かつ炭素ドーピングを起こさせる手法を開発し、高感度可視光応答性光触媒を創製することを目的として、本年度は以下の成果を得た。
1.プラズマイオンプロセスの理論解析電子温度5eV・電子密度10^<15>~10^<16>m^<-3>のプラズマ状態、パルス周波数150Hz・パルス幅10μsのパルス条件において、パルス電圧印加中にTiO_2薄膜/プラズマ界面に定常イオンシースが形成される。プラズマ中でアセチルアセトナト銅が完全分解する場合のイオン電流密度は定常イオン形成後ではパルス電圧に依存せず一定値を示すが、電子密度に伴って増加する。イオン照射によるTiO_2薄膜の温度上昇は電子密度及びパルス電圧に伴って増加し、入射イオンと薄膜表面との間で表面反応が起こる可能性が増加することを明らかにした。
2.パルス電圧印加によるTiO_2薄膜のプラズマイオンプロセス処理アセチルアセトナト銅プラズマ雰囲気で、TiO_2薄膜に印加されるパルス電圧の増加に伴って、可視光吸収が顕著となった。プラズマイオンプロセス処理によりTiO_2薄膜表面には元素Cu、C、Oから構成される堆積層が形成され、さらにC_<1s>XPSデプスプロファイルによりTiO_2への炭素ドーピングを確認した。パルス電圧を印加することで、可視光応答性は顕著となった。光励起によりTiO_2価電子帯からCu(II)に界面電子移動が起こることに加えて、炭素ドーピング準位からTiO_2伝導帯に光励起された電子がCu(II)を還元すると考えられる。プラズマイオンプロセス処理TiO_2薄膜を空気中473Kにて熱処理してもCu含有と炭素ドーピングは残存するが、堆積層が炭化してTiO_2表面に到達する可視光強度が減少するために、可視光応答性が低下することが明らかになった。

Reason

本研究の目的は、プラズマイオンプロセスによりTiO_2表面への多電子還元性イオンのグラフト及び炭素ドーピングを実現させ、高感度可視光応答性光触媒を創製することであり、本研究の推進によりおおむね達成している。さらに本研究では、プラズマイオンプロセスの理論解析を行い、可視光応答性発現のためのアプローチについて明らかにした。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

高感度可視光応答性光触媒を創製するためのプラズマイオンプロセスによるナノ界面プラズマ制御法を開発する。さらに照射イオンと光触媒表面層のプラズマナノ界面の定量解析を行うことで、光触媒の表面機能化のためのプラズマナノ界面の理論構築を行う。
