Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は,より効率的に”水をつくる”ことを最終目標とする。1nm以下の細孔(サブナノ細孔)を有する微多孔膜を高分子および無機材料を用いて作製し,水分子希薄系から凝縮系状態までの広範囲に渡り,その動的挙動として膜透過性を測定する。さらに,水吸着測定などの特性評価技術を駆使することで,サブナノ多孔材料での動的挙動を明らかにするとともに,より高選択性・高透過性を有する水分離膜の開発指針を得る。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

爆発的に人口が増加し,河川などの淡水のみならず海水から高分子膜を用いた水製造の実用化が進んでいる。今後は気相中に存在する水蒸気の回収技術についても,生活空間の調湿という観点のみならず,貴重な水資源,さらにエネルギー源として,持続可能な社会構築のための必要不可欠な新技術として開発する必要がある。本研究では,より効率的に”水をつくる”ことを最終目標として,サブナノ多孔性オルガノシリカ膜の水分子の動的挙動を希薄系から凝縮系までの広範囲において,純水系および2成分混合系での膜透過性を測定するとともに,高選択性・高透過性水分離膜の開発指針を明らかとすることを目的とする。
2023年度では,新規分離膜として酸化グラフェン(GO)による水蒸気分離膜の作製の最適化に関する研究を行い,GO膜が水蒸気を選択的に膜透過することを明らかとした。H2O 透過率は 1.0×10-6 mol/ (m2 s Pa) 以上, H2O/N2 透過率比も10000 以上を示したことから, GO 膜が高いH2O 透過性とH2O/N2 選択性を有することが明らかとなった。また, FE-SEM による膜断面観察から, PES 支持体上にGO 分離層厚み 100 nm 程度に薄膜製膜できたことが確認された。
さらに,サブナノ多孔膜の水蒸気透過モデルを提案し,サブナノ多孔性オルガノシリカ膜の両相が気相の蒸気透過(VP),液相/気相の浸透気化(PV),液相/液相の逆浸透法(RO)での水蒸気透過特性解析に適用し,その有効性を明らかとした。
