Outline of Research at the Start

チタンのAdditive Manufacturing (AM)では超温度場における急冷凝固に加えてマルテンサイト変態やβ相の析出が起こり、「階層的なバルク非平衡組織」が形成する。本研究では、その場中性子回折測定により得られる定量的な組織情報を基に高温環境や塑性変形における転位組織のダイナミクスと相変態挙動を明らかにする。以上を通してAMチタン合金のプロセス-組織-力学特性の関係を体系化し、強化機構や塑性変形に関する基礎学理と造形プロセスの最適化を目指す。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

2023年度は、昨年度Powder bed fusionタイプのAdditive Manufacturingである電子ビーム積層造形(EB-PBF)を用いて作製したTi-6Al-4V合金造形体を対象に研究を行い、引張特性および組織形成に及ぼす造形条件の影響について調査した。造形体の引張特性は電子ビームの電流値および走査速度に依存して変化した。これらの造形体の引張変形中のその場中性子回折測定をJ-PARCのiMATERIA (BL20)にて実施し、造形組織および塑性変形挙動を評価した。得られた回折データを用いてRietveld Texture解析を行ったところ、試料間でβ相分率は大きく変化しないことを確認した。また、研究代表者らは先行研究においてEB-PBFを用いたTi-6Al-4V合金の集合組織形成は旧β相の一方向凝固とβ→α′マルテンサイト変態、α′マルテンサイトにおけるナノβ相の析出により説明できることを示したが、本研究ではこのような集合組織形成がエネルギー密度に依存して変化することを明らかにした。さらに、本年度はNi基超合金にも対象を広げて中性子回折に基づく組織解析を行った。EB-PBFを用いて作製したAlloy 718においてγ相の粗大柱状晶組織と準安定な金属間化合物であるγ″相の集合組織、相分率、格子定数をRietveld Texture解析を用いてバルク材料のその場引張測定データを基に決定することに成功した。
