重い電子系におけるスピン軌道相互作用と電子相関効果の絡み合いによる新奇物性の研究

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

当該年度は以下の研究を行った。(1) 強い電子間相互作用と強いスピン軌道相互作用を有する重い電子系におけるトポロジカル相の実現の可能性について理論的に研究を行った。その結果、重い電子系の典型的なモデルである近藤格子模型において、近藤効果と、強いスピン軌道相互作用の絡み合いが、量子スピンホール状態と呼ばれる、トポロジカルに非自明な量子状態を実現することが分かった。また、このような強相関電子系でしばしば見られる磁気秩序と、トポロジカル秩序の共存についても研究を行い、ある種の重い電子系反強磁性体においてトポロジカル秩序が実現している可能性を示した。
(2) 3次元トポロジカル超伝導体やカイラル対称性を持つトポロジカル絶縁体におけるトポロジカルな起源の電磁気応答、熱応答現象について研究を行った。その結果、これらの系のトポロジカルな性質を特徴づけるトポロジカル不変量がある種の接合系における電磁気応答・熱応答に現れることが明らかになった。
(3) 超伝導秩序パラメータが自発的に時間反転対称性を破っているカイラル超伝導状態において実現するゼロ磁場熱ホール効果について研究を行った。その結果を重い電子系物質でカイラル超伝導の実現が示唆されているURu2Si2に応用し、実験で観測が可能であることを示唆する結果を得た。
