Outline of Annual Research Achievements

高次に構造設計・制御された酸化物低次元ナノ構造体を自己組織化的に多様な基材表面へ形成させ、表面のナノアーキテクチャーを簡便且つ高精度に構築する技術およびその構造体を創出すると共に、低次元ナノ構造と材料物性とを共生的に融合し、生体適合性など多彩な表面機能を具現化させることを目的とした研究を行い、以下の知見を得た。
1. チタニウムなどの金属基板表面に、室温から120℃程度の範囲におけるアルカリ溶液処理プロセスで、ナノシートやナノチューブ構造を持つ低次元ナノ構造体酸化物を形成することに成功した。形成した構造は非晶質ナノ構造であること、ネットワーク状ポーラス構造であることを見いだした。
2. 本プロセスの制御因子である処理温度、アルカリ種類、処理濃度および処理時間が表面のナノ構造に与える影響について系統的に精査し、その相関を見いだした。特に温度・時間によりナノレベルで異なる形態・サイズを持つ低次元ナノネットワーク構造を形成することが可能であることを見いだした。
3. プロセス過程における構造・化学種の解析を行い、ナノ構造表面が多層階層的構造を持つこと、これら構造形成メカニズムの推定を行った。
4. ナノチューブ構造表面の場合、無機イオン吸着能に優れることを見いだす一方、ナノシートネットワーク構造表面の場合、そのスケールに応じて細胞接着性・増殖性が改善できることなど、本低次元ナノ構造表面が生体適合性を有することを確認した。
