Outline of Annual Research Achievements

われわれの体内では,アデノシン三リン酸(ATP)を媒体とするエネルギー循環が絶え間なく行われている。この一連のエネルギー循環に関してこれまで多くの研究が行われてきた。しかし,このエネルギー論の最も基本的な部分である,ATP加水分解エネルギー(ATPエネルギー)の起源に関してすら,統一的見解が得られていないのが実情である。
本研究では,ATPのモデル分子であるピロリン酸の加水分解反応の自由エネルギー解析を行った。ここでは,3D-RISM-SCFを用いて,反応物,生成物,反応中間体の自由エネルギー解析を行った。ピロリン酸には4つの解離状態が,無機リン酸塩にも3つの解離状態が存在し,反応としての組み合わせは4つ存在する。その全てを解析し,溶媒が反応に与える影響を精査した。
その結果,反応系の解離状態によってそれぞれ溶媒の及ぼす影響が異なることを明らかにし,それらが微視的な反応物/生成物の溶媒和構造の違いに起因することを示した。
