Research Abstract

完全に共役したナノサイズの分子リングは、単分子分光の研究対象としてばかりでなく、その内部空孔を使った包接分子の形成およびナノ相分離を利用するナノ集積体の構築が期待でき、新機能材料として注目を集めている。本研究では、比較的合成の難しい巨大環状ポリアレーンおよび巨大環状ポリチオフェンを反応集積化によって効率的に合成し、その特異な物性を明らかにした。
(1) 巨大環状ポリアレーンの合成をLipshutz cuprate の環状オリゴマー化反応とそれに続く電子移動酸化を用いて行った。巨大環状ポリアレーンとしては、環状ノナフェニレンおよび環状ドデカフェニレンを先ず合成し、さらに本合成法を拡張して環状ペンタデカフェニレンの合成も行った。
(2) 巨大環状(チエニレン-エチニレン)を同一時空間反応集積化を用いて合成した。その前駆体として二重結合を有する分子をすでに合成しているので、これらの分子の二重結合部位を三重結合に変換することによって目的とする巨大環状(チエニレン-エチニレン)を得た。巨大環状ポリチオフェンに関しては、円形分子がグラファイト表面上で規則正しくヘキサゴナルに並んだ STM 像を得ており、二次元シートとして利用可能である。また、C60 がその内部にスッポリ収まるサイズの円形空孔を有しており、非常に容易に土星型錯体を形成することが分かった。
