Research Abstract

ナノ界面プラズマ科学の最も基礎的な基盤研究と位置付け、実環境下で極微現象を観測する際に顕著化する湿潤空気不純物の混入の効果を含む、極めて複雑な非平衡系複合化学反応ネットワークをシミュレートするグローバルモデルを開発した。ヘリウム酸素混合気体を利用するラジオ周波数電源駆動マイクロスケール大気圧プラズマジェットを対象とし、極めて多様なラジカル種の挙動に対する湿潤空気（窒素・酸素・二酸化炭素・水蒸気）の影響を、膨大な複合化学反応ネットワークを扱うことで明らかにした。本モデルにおいて取り扱う化学反応数 1360、粒子種数 65 は、世界最大規模である。英国クイーンズ大学プラズマ物理学センター・英国ヨーク大学ヨークプラズマ研究所における実験結果（プラズマ中における Atomic oxygen, Singlet delta oxygen, Ozone 等の密度）との詳細なベンチマークを行い、モデル結果と実験結果との極めて良い一致を得た。このことは、本モデルが世界最高レベルの精度を持つことを示唆する。EU多国間共同研究体制 European Cooperation in Science and Technology (eCOST) Action に、EU圏外からの唯一の研究者として参加し、プラズマ数値シミュレーションを担当する。このことは、本研究が国際的に高い評価を受けていることを示す。Plasma Sources Science and Technology に3編の原著学術論文が掲載された。すべての論文が Most read article の１位を獲得し数ヶ月にわたりトップ10 入りを果たした。特に最新論文はIOP SELECT に選出された。このことは本研究が国際的に注目されていることを示す。
