Outline of Annual Research Achievements

鉄、亜鉛、銅、マンガンなど必須金属元素の欠乏により花粉形成の異常、不稔、収量低下が起こる。これら必須元素の重要性にも関わらず、植物の受精および胚発生過程における金属元素の役割の詳細は未だ解明されていない。本研究ではイネの受精(植物における配偶子融合過程)および受精卵の細胞分裂過程(初期胚発生)における亜鉛の役割を明らかにすることを目的とする。イネ単離配偶子を材料とし、in vitro受精系を用いて、亜鉛の配偶子融合への影響、イネ卵への亜鉛の供給形態、亜鉛結合タンパク、亜鉛関連の遺伝子が受精および受精卵の細胞分裂過程にどのように関連するか明らかにする。26年度はイネ未受精卵への亜鉛欠乏の影響の解析を中心に研究を行った。
