Outline of Research at the Start	能登半島などの群発地震に関与する深部流体の起源の解明を試みる。また，京都府南部，和歌山県北部，能登半島といった地震の多発域だけではなく，大阪府や兵庫県南部，岡山県や広島県といった地震活動が比較的静穏な地域も調査研究を行い，地震の「多発域」と「静穏域」の深部由来の流体の上昇様式（速度）の系統的な違いを探る。さらに四国西部の中央構造線付近の2000m掘削孔で2017年8月から約1ヶ月ごとに採水した湧水の地球化学的観測を実施しスロー地震の「活動期」と「静穏期」の系統的な違いを探る。
