Outline of Research at the Start

PIWI-interacting RNA (piRNA)は生殖細胞を介して次世代に伝播し、世代を超えて有害な遺伝子の活性を抑制し続けることで、種の保存に貢献する。本研究では、核酸バーコーディングによる1細胞情報の識別やバイオケミカルな反応の自動化・効率化を通じて1細胞piRNA並列計測の決定打を創出し、加齢、環境因子及び遺伝子変異などがpiRNAを情報担体とした母性エピゲノム継承の多様性に与える影響を検証する。
