Outline of Annual Research Achievements

超新星爆発は、大質量星がその一生の最期に起こす大爆発である。その爆発メカニズムは未だ解明されていない。その標準的なシナリオとして、ニュートリノ加熱機構がある。本公募研究では、この機構に基づいて多次元ニュートリノ輻射流体シミュレーションを行い、爆発を起こしたモデルを用いてニュートリノ加熱機構の検証を行なった。さらに、超新星爆発に関連するマグネター形成やガンマ線バーストについての理論的研究も進めた。
今年度の具体的な成果は以下の通りである。1) 爆発開始から67秒間に渡ってシミュレーションを続行することで、中性子星の殻(地球の地殻に対応する中性子星の外層部)の形成時間を明らかにした; 2) 2次元計算と3次元計算を比較することで、流体計算の次元が超新星爆発にどのような影響を及ぼすのか明らかにした; 3) 超新星爆発の際に超強磁場中性子星(マグネター)が形成されると、ニュートリノが非等方的に放出される。その結果マグネターに及ぼされる力学的効果を定量的に見積もり、現在の観測に基づいて内部磁場に制限をかけた; 4) 短いガンマ線バーストに付随する extended emission を説明するモデルとして時間発展する降着円盤およびブラックホール系を提案し、多波長の放射スペクトルを予言した。
これらの成果はそれぞれ論文として公表した。
