Outline of Annual Research Achievements

(1)トポロジカル超伝導の量子渦及び超伝導サンプルの縁にマヨラナ準粒子が現れる。我々は以前に局所ゲート電圧のオン・オフによって縁マヨラナ準粒子の位置交換が可能であり、またそれが非アーベル統計に従うことを明らかにした。本年度、マヨラナ準粒子による量子ビットのNOTゲートを設計した。さらにこのことを利用して、単電子ポンピングの方法を考案した。マヨラナ準粒子の運動による単電子ポンピングは、その電子の個数に関する奇偶パリティを利用するため、今までに知られている単電子ポンピング方法と異なる。また、この現象が実験的に観測できれば、マヨラナ準粒子の確認にもなる。
(2)量子渦のコアにあるマヨラナ準粒子をゲート電圧の操作で設計通りに移動できる方法を考案した。コア・マヨラナ準粒子と有限エネルギー準粒子励起のエネルギー差が大きく、縁マヨラナ準粒子より安定であり、量子ビットの実装に有利である。
(3)量子異常ホール効果に関するレビュー論文を執筆した。60ページ(図20、参考文献200)に亘って、量子異常ホール効果の基礎と物質のトポロジカル電子状態が紹介され、Advances in Physicsに掲載される運びになっている。
