Outline of Annual Research Achievements

米国ブルックヘブン国立研究所(BNL)の相対論的重イオン加速器(RHIC)及び、欧州共同原子核研究機構(CERN)の大型ハドロン加速器(LHC)を用いた高エネルギー原子核衝突実(PHENIX実験、STAR実験、ALICE実験)を行い、実験データの解析や、その解析手法、及びその結果に関する議論、相談を行い、共同研究を推進した。
5月にドイツ・ダルムスタットで行われた国際会議「Quark Matter 2014」及び、8月に日本・大阪で行われたアジア重イオン会議「ATHIC 2014」等において、会議場現地で、Prof. Jiangyong Jia氏(Stonybrook大学)、Prof. Fuqiang Wang氏(Purdue大学)、Prof. Nu Xu氏(LBNL研究所、華中師範大学)、益井宙氏(筑波大)、大学院生等と今後の物理データ解析の方針から手法に関して詳細に渡る議論を行った。Event Shape Selectionや、Twist(衝突事象の粒子生成の楕円率や楕円軸を基準とした事象選択を行う、という新たな解析手法を用いたデータ解析の応用)に関する物理的な議論、また2粒子相関法に反応平面法を応用したハード・ソフト間の相関に関する議論、さらに臨界点付近に予測されるゆらぎの発散からの信号観測のためのデータ解析等の議論を直接行う事により、これまでのデータに関する解釈や今後の解析に関する展望、方針を得た。
反応平面を用いた様々な粒子相関の測定を行い、特に量子力学的2粒子HBT相関の測定による反応領域のサイズ、形状の測定、2粒子ジェット相関の反応平面依存性の測定、識別したハドロンや光子の2次(楕円型)、3次(三角型)、4次等の高次方位角異方性の測定、それらの衝突ビームエネルギーや衝突系核種(大きさ)に対する依存性の測定、解析を進め、結果を公表した。
