Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究の課題は、人工光捕集系と光物質変換系の連結である。人工光捕集系としては、ナノシート上に高密度配列した色素集合体を用い、光物質変換系としては、金属ポルフィリンを増感剤としたシクロヘキセンの酸素化反応などをターゲットとしている。本研究においては、ナノシート上における物質変換反応に重点を置いて研究を進めた。ナノシートとしてはサポナイト型粘土鉱物を、増感剤としてはGa, Sb, Ruなどを中心元素とするポルフィリン類を用いた。その結果、増感剤をナノシート上に担持することで、非担持状態に比べて、その安定性が著しく向上することを見いだした。非担持状態においては、増感剤は光照射中に速やかに分解していくのに対し、ナノシート上においては分解が抑制されることに加えて、その分解の機構も異なり、その分解物も光触媒活性を有することを見いだした。これらの研究成果により、光捕集系と連結しうるナノシート上における光物質変換反応に対して大きな足がかりを得た。
