Outline of Annual Research Achievements

脳内の神経回路がどのような仕組みによって情報処理を実現しているかを知ることは脳科学における重要な目標の一つである.この目標を実現するため,本研究課題では実験データ (多細胞同時計測スパイクデータ,単一神経細胞膜電位データ,カルシウムイメージングデータなど) から情報処理中の神経回路の振る舞いを同定する手法を開発することを目的とする.
平成26年度は,1. 多細胞同時計測データから神経細胞間のシナプス結合を推定する技術,2. 膜電位データから神経細胞へのシナプス入力を推定する技術の研究を進めた.研究項目 1 (多細胞同時計測データの解析) については,シナプス結合が存在するかどうかを判定する統計的手法の開発に取り組んだ (Kurita, Yamanaka, Kobayashi et al., JNNS 2014).研究項目2 (膜電位データの解析) に関しては,状態空間モデル (Kobayashi, Shinomoto and Lansky, Neural Computation 2011) を用いて,実験で用いる刺激が興奮性,抑制性シナプス入力へ与える影響を調べるためのデータ解析手法を構築した.モルモットの聴覚野から計測された膜電位データに開発手法を適用して,トーン刺激がシナプス入力へ与える影響を調べた (Kobayashi, He and Lansky, Frontiers in Computational Neuroscience 2015).また,本学術領域の西丸広史 准教授 (筑波大学) とマウスの脊髄における歩行運動発現中におけるシナプス入力を調べる共同研究を開始させた (Nishimaru, Kobayashi, Itohara et al., SFN 2014).
