Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
ヒトを含む哺乳動物は、脳の感覚性脳室周囲器官において体液のNa+レベルや浸透圧を監視し、水分/塩分の経口摂取量の制御と腎臓における排泄/再吸収の制御を統合的に行っている。私は、このシステムの全体像の解明を目指して分子レベルから個体レベルの各階層の研究を進めてきた。しかし、階層間の関係性をつなぐ知見が不足しているために、全体像をシステムとして捉えるには至っていない。本研究では、逆行性標識薬や電気生理学的手法を用いて階層間をつなぐ情報伝達経路の構造を明らかにし、伝達される情報を定量的に解明してモデル化した。さらに、光感受性タンパク質を特定の細胞に発現し生体の一部を任意に操作することにより、水分/塩分摂取行動を制御し、モデルの信頼性を検証した。
