Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は冬季日本海における異常高波,とりわけ富山湾に侵入する「寄り回り波」の発生機構を解明することを目的とする.ベニズワイガニなどの底生甲殻類漁業と連携し,小型波浪ブイを用いた広域かつ高頻度の海洋観測を実施する.得られた気象・海象データと数値モデルを用いて,急発達する低気圧や海洋前線,さらに海洋の温暖化が波浪場に及ぼす影響を総合的に解析し,異常高波の予測精度向上と沿岸域の減災に資する知見の獲得を目指す.
