Outline of Research at the Start	将来の気候変動を考えるうえで，南極氷床変動および氷山や海氷の分布を地質学的過去に遡って復元することは重要な課題である。そのなかで，申請者が独自に注目してきた黄金色藻シスト化石が過去の氷床融解史を復元するうえで有用である可能性が見えてきた。そこで本研究では，南極大陸沿岸に分布する湖沼群や海氷で採取された試料を用いた研究を展開し，黄金色藻シストの地理分布を解明する。
