Outline of Annual Research Achievements

構成要素が鎖状に連なった高分子鎖は、負の相関効果による異常動力学現象の宝庫である。今年度は、主に外力により駆動される非平衡ダイナミクスを研究した。まず、最も基本的と考えられる伸長過程について基礎的事項を定式化し、トルクによる回転ダイナミクス、ナノチャネル中での圧縮過程のダイナミクスへと研究を展開した。
(1) 高分子鎖の伸張ダイナミクス: 高分子系に見られる多くの異常動力学において本質的に重要となる鎖に沿っての張力伝播様式について、平衡状態下と、外力誘起の非平衡状態の両方に於いて、ミクロな高分子模型(ラウス模型)から出発し、標識モノマーの異常拡散挙動を記述する一般化ランジュバン方程式の導出を系統的に議論した。
(2) 棒の周りを回転する高分子鎖の定常ダイナミクス: 長くて柔らかい高分子鎖の一端を棒状の障害物に固定し、棒を回転させると高分子は棒の周りに巻きついていく。「ねじれブロブ」という概念を導入し、張力による伸張過程との類似、差異を明確にしつつ、定常状態での構成関係式(トルク-角運動量関係)を導出した。
(3) ナノチャネル中に拘束されたDNAの圧縮ダイナミクス: ナノチャンネル中に拘束した高分子を方端から圧縮すると、圧縮応力の伝播を伴う特徴的な非平衡ダイナミクスが見られる。この過程を記述する非線形移流拡散方程式を導出し、その解析を行い実験結果との良い一致を得た。また、負の相関による異常動力学という視点から、張力による伸長過程との対比を行った。
