Outline of Annual Research Achievements

原始惑星系円盤に巨大ガス惑星が存在すると惑星と円盤の重力相互作用によって円盤ガスが惑星周辺から吹き飛ばされ、惑星軌道に沿った円盤ガスのギャップができる。最近の原始惑星系円盤の観測で発見されている円盤のギャップ構造は惑星が起源であると考えられている。
本研究では惑星によって形成される円盤ギャップ構造の理論モデルを構築し、そこから観測結果に適用可能なギャップの深さおよび幅と円盤ギャップ中に存在する円盤質量との定量的な関係を導出した。この関係を用いることで観測されたギャップ内に存在する惑星質量に理論的に制限することができる。以上の研究成果を今年度は2編の論文にまとめ、査読付き国際学術誌に投稿した。2編ともすでに掲載済みである。
また、上記の研究から得られた惑星質量とギャップの深さ・幅の関係式を実際に観測された原始惑星系円盤のギャップ構造に適用して、惑星質量の見積もりを行っている。こちらの結果も2編の論文にまとめられ、査読付き国際学術誌に掲載済みである。
