Outline of Annual Research Achievements

素粒子物理学の標準理論では解決できない、ニュートリノ振動、暗黒物質の存在、宇宙のバリオン数非対称などの現象論的諸問題、及び理論的諸問題の解決を目指して、新物理理論のパラダイムとしてテラスケール余剰次元を念頭に置き、実験結果を用いた種々の素粒子模型の検証可能性の理論研究を行った。主な成果は以下のとおりである。
1. 最小超対称標準模型の付加的ヒッグス粒子の間接的発見可能性の研究
発見されたヒッグス粒子からボトムクォーク対への崩壊分岐比とWボソン対への崩壊分岐比の比が、将来のILC実験で特に精密に測られることに着目し、最小超対称標準模型において付加的ヒッグス粒子により生じるこの比の標準理論予言値からのずれを正確に計算した。このずれの測定から間接的に発見可能な付加的ヒッグス粒子の質量領域をILC実験のステージ毎に示した。同様の手法を用いて、ユニバーサル余剰次元模型においてカルツァ・クライン粒子の存在により影響を受けるヒッグス粒子の性質を探る研究を進めている。
2. 強い一次的電弱相転移由来の重力波を用いた拡張素粒子模型の検証可能性の研究
標準理論に複数個のスカラー粒子を付加した拡張模型において、初期宇宙で起きた強い一次的電弱相転移由来の重力波のスペクトルを計算した。予言される重力波スペクトルは導入されたスカラー粒子の個数と質量に大きく依存することを示し、将来宇宙空間で行われる重力波観測を用いて一次的電弱相転移を起こす様々な拡張模型が区別できる可能性があることを明らかにした。また、テラスケール余剰次元模型に特有なスカラーポテンシャルを重力波で探る可能性についても検討中である。
