Outline of Annual Research Achievements

我々は、ナノグラフェン構造中でディラック点直上に発生する空間局在性非結合性電子軌道を、欠陥局在型ゼロモード(VZM)と同定した。水素化原子欠損を中央にもつアームチェア端・六角ナノグラフェン構造(VANG)には、ディラック状態の一種であるゼロエネルギー状態がVZMと縮退して発生することを、代数的方法により証明した。構造を理論的完全同定したVANGには、強相関効果によるシングレット基底状態が発生する。強結合模型と密度汎関数法を併用してVANGのシングレット基底状態はグラフェン原子欠陥上に発生する近藤状態と同一視されることを示した。VANGは系統的にサイズを変更できる。軌道上クーロン相関エネルギー(ハバード相互作用U)を決定して、系のサイズに依存した電子相関効果の発生を示し、超交換相互作用型交換散乱項を理論評価して0.1eV程度に達しうる交換相互作用の存在を結論した。VANGを保持した基板上で電界効果ドーピングを行えば、化学ポテンシャル依存性から近藤クロスオーバーの制御法が結論される。原子欠損グラフェン類似構造として複数の端の形状をもつナノグラフェン分子を検討し、端局在型ゼロモードとVZMの同時発生を予言し、局所量子スピンを構造の中央と端に形成できることを示した。さらに、原子状水素の吸着構造と電子移動の評価から、水素吸着・脱離反応活性化法として、電界効果ドーピングによる脱離活性障壁減少効果、ナノグラフェンの幾何学的変調による水素炭素間電子移動量変調効果を検討した。この成果を利用した水素吸着・脱離反応促進方法をまとめ、平成28年度からの新学術領域における公募研究に採択された。ナノダイヤモンドの表面形成量子スピンにおける近藤効果の重要性について検討し、ナノグラフェン中の近藤状態を通した量子情報処理デバイスの理論創成に関する本研究成果をさらに発展させている。
