Outline of Annual Research Achievements

銅酸化物高温超伝導体は、元素置換や酸素量の増減によりキャリア密度を制御することで超伝導状態になる。そのため、結晶中には空間的な不均一性が存在する。その不均一性は、CuO2面内の超伝導ギャップの不均一性や、単位胞内に複数のCuO2面を持つ系の場合には、それらCuO2面間のキャリア密度の違いや超伝導と反強磁性の共存状態などとなって現れる。一方、銅酸化物高温超伝導体の不足ドープ領域では、電荷密度相や電荷ストライプ相などが観測され、異なる秩序相が競合している様子が伺える。このような電子状態を磁性の観点から解決すべく、多くの研究がなされてきた。そして、最近の研究により、低エネルギー側の磁気励起は、反強磁性スピン波と非整合波数を持つ磁気励起の重ね合わせになっている可能性も報告されている。これら一見相反する報告の背景を理解することは、高温超伝導の理解に直結する重要な課題である。そこで本年度は、空間的不均一性による磁気励起スペクトルの形状変化について研究を行った。不均一性の一例として、モット絶縁体(反強磁性)とドープされたモット絶縁体(金属)の2層系を考える。そして、反強磁性層のスピン波に対する自己エネルギーを、層間の飛び移り積分2次の範囲で求めた。金属層の電子相関はグッツヴィラー近似で扱う。その結果、金属層で電子相関が効く場合には、スピン波の線幅が著しく増大する場合があることが分かった。この成果は、様々な量子ビームを用いて測定される低エネルギー磁気励起の解析に役立つと期待される。特に、得られたデータを解析する際に、状態が単一成分で構成されることを前提にすべきではないことを示唆するものである。
