Outline of Annual Research Achievements

単一鎖レベルで,(光吸収・電荷分離・電荷輸送)過程や(電荷輸送・電荷再結合・発光)過程などの高次機能を有するDNA高次組織体を電極間に伸長固定し,単一鎖レベルでの高次構造と光電機能の関係から,分子レベルでのDNA物性の理解を深め,革新的な光電機能を示す次世代分子デバイス創製を目的としている。平成27年度は,まず,前年度用いた電極間隔25μm櫛形電極が,単一鎖からなるDNAナノワイヤーの位置選択的構築には困難であったため,電極間隔3μmの対向尖端形状電極を用い,単一鎖DNAナノワイヤー作成を行った。一方で,光電機能単一鎖デバイス実現のための基礎知見収集を目的として,DNAナノワイヤーに光機能Ru錯体,さらには導電性高分子ポリアニリン(PAn)を複合したナノワイヤーの電気物性を測定した。
結果として、
1)基板上に形成された,鋭角の先端を持つ金電極が先端間隔3μmで対向する対向尖端形状電極間にDNA 希薄溶液を滴下し,電極間に高周波高電界を与えることで,DNAの電極間単一鎖伸長固定を行った。電界が先端に集中するため,電極間隔25μm櫛形電極よりも条件設定が困難であり,周波数,印加電圧を幅広く検討することで,単一鎖で先端電極間に電界伸長されたDNAナノワイヤーの構築が可能であることを確認した。しかしながらまだ再現性に乏しく,高効率な方法論の確立が必要である。
2)前年度に電極間隔25μm櫛形電極間に構築したDNAナノワイヤーとそれに光機能性Ru錯体を導入したナノワイヤー,さらにはPAnを複合したナノワイヤーの電流電圧特性を評価した。電流値はRu錯体複合により大きく上昇したが,Ru錯体導入後とPAn導入後の電流値には大きな差が認められなかった。AFMより,PAn複合ナノワイヤー上にPAnの凝集構造が多く認められており,導電パスの不連続性が原因であることが明らかとなった。
