Outline of Research at the Start

本領域では、植物の生殖過程における「鍵と鍵穴」の分子作動実態を物質レベルで明らかにすることで、新種誕生の本質的なメカニズムを解明することを目指した。4 つのブレークスルーテクノロジーを結集した異分野融合研究支援センターを設けることにより、種の認証を制御する鍵分子の作動実態を、構造や分子動態のレベルで明らかにするとともに、未同定だった重要な鍵分子群の発見を達成した。本研究成果取りまとめは、こうした研究活動により生み出された成果を、複数の特集号を編纂することにより広く研究者コミュニティにアピールするとともに、研究成果報告書を作成、配布することにより広く国際社会、国民に発信する。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本領域では、植物の生殖過程における「鍵と鍵穴」の分子作動実態を物質レベルで明らかにすることで、新種誕生の本質的なメカニズムを解明することを目指した。4 つのブレークスルーテクノロジーを結集した異分野融合研究支援センターを設けることにより、種の認証を制御する鍵分子の作動実態を、構造や分子動態のレベルで明らかにするとともに、未同定だった重要な鍵分子群の発見を達成した。本研究成果取りまとめは、こうした研究活動により生み出された成果を、複数の特集号を編纂することなどにより広く研究者コミュニティにアピールし、国際社会、国民にも発信することを目指した。計画に従い、特集号の発刊については、 (1)オープンアクセスジャーナルであるFrontiers の生殖特集、(2) 日本植物生理学会学術誌Plant and Cell Physiology のイメージングFocus issueを発刊した。本新学術領域研究の計画研究および公募研究代表者が中心となり、本領域研究で得られた最新の知見を執筆、公開した。ほとんどがオープンアクセス論文であり、本領域が共催した国際植物生殖会議25th ICSPRやEMBOワークショップの海外参加者も加わり、国際的に本領域の成果をアピールできた。特集号の発刊について、共催シンポジウムやホームページなどを通じてアピールした。また、本領域の成果を領域代表が社会に対して様々な場やメディアでアピールした。
