| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
Brepols Publisher (ベルギー,Turnhout)と契約を締結し、叢書Cities and Urbanization in West Asia and North Africa (= CUWANA）を立ち上げ、この叢書に複数書を出版して、領域研究「西アジア都市」の研究成果をフォローする計画を実施中である。その一冊である古代メソポタミア都市の形態と社会的機能を扱うモノグラフの刊行を本予算によって準備した。
今年度中に、Introductionと20章からなる原稿を収集し、同書の編集者による内的な査読を行い、著者と連絡しながら内容を修正、言語（英語）とスタイルの編集を行い、出版社に提出した。原稿は、現在2名の外部査読者による査読のプロセスに入っている。査読後、必要な見直しを行った後、索引を作成し、2026年初頭に出版する予定である。内容は以下のとおりである。

Part II: Profile of Cities in Mesopotamia and Its Surrounding through the Ages （including Chapters 3-12 by P. Michalowski, M. Molina, N. Ziegler, K. De Graef, P. A. Miglus, S. Yamada, J. Novotny, H. Baker, P. Clancier, W. Held)。
Part III: The Environment, Structure, Role and Image of Cities: Thematic Studies (including Chapters 13-20 by C. E. Watanabe, F. Karahashi, C. Michel, M. Guichard, T. Hogue, Y. Watai, Y. Mitsuma, G. Konstantopoulos)。
