Outline of Research at the Start

本新学術領域研究では、クォーク、ハドロン、原子核、原子、分子という微視的物質世界の階層構造がどのようなメカニズムで形成されたのかという自然科学の根源的問題に対し、各階層の研究者の力を結集し、階層間の壁を超えた連携研究を進めてきた。従来型階層の境界「セミ階層」に現れる多彩な「クラスター」を共通のキーワードとし、個々の階層を超えた量子系の多体相関、普遍的な現象や法則を見出すことを目指し、連携研究を進めた。ここではこれの取りまとめ事業を行う。すなわち、各階層の研究成果を有機的に結びつけるため、拡大領域研究会を開催し、国際有力学術雑誌において論文集を出版する。また、本成果の社会への発信を行う。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

新学術領域研究「量子クラスターで読み解く物質の階層構造(2018-2022年度)」では、クォーク、ハドロン、原子核、原子、分子という微視的物質世界の階層構造がどのようなメカニズムで形成されたのか、という自然科学の根源的問題に対し、各階層の研究者の力を結集し、階層間の壁を超えた連携研究を進めてきた。従来型階層の境界「セミ階層」に現れる多彩な「量子クラスター」を共通のキーワードとし、それぞれの階層を超えた量子系の多体相関、普遍的な現象や法則を見出すことを目指し、連携研究を進めた。本科研費では、そのとりまとめ事業を行った。
まずは、事後評価に対してこれまでの実績をまとめた。5年間の実績として、1)ストレンジネスを含むバリオン間力の精密測定、2)原子核層と原子層における三体力の研究、3)格子QCD計算と少数計算の融合による新奇クラスターの予言、4)階層変化を可視化する量子シミュレーターの完成、5)さまざまな新奇クラスターの発見(中間子原子核、ハドロン分子、多中性子クラスター、エフィモフ三量体)などの成果がハイライトとなっていることを確認し、階層連携の枠組みでの位置付けや領域内での評価などを行った。事後評価の結果はA+評価(研究領域の設定目的に照らして、期待以上の成果があった)であった。
また、9月には総括のための領域研究会を行い、これまでの研究成果の集大成を行った。一方、European Physical Journal Aにおいて取りまとめの論文集を出版することを総括班主導で提案した。出版社側の承認は得られており、2024年度の完成を目指し、主要成果を中心として論文の準備が進められている。総括班会議ではさらに、今後の連携に向けた議論などを行った。
本領域研究で開拓された量子クラスターを鍵とした物質階層の研究が、今後新たな潮流として進展していくことが期待される。
