Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本領域は領域発足当初より、分野間の垣根を超えた共同研究を推進するとともに、国内外への情報発信を広く実施してきた。本年度は、本領域の成果報告を行うとともに、引き続き海外の卓越した研究者との活発な意見交換を通じて、本領域の活動を国際的により一層進展させた。
また、共同研究のための消耗品等の購入や旅費など、国際共同研究にかかる経費の一部を国際活動支援班の経費から援助することで効果的に研究を推進し、国際的ネットワークの発展に務めた。さらに、国際共同研究を加速するための国際ワークショップを開催し、本領域の研究を海外にも波及させた。本年度はFrontier Bioorganization Forum 2018を岡崎にて主催し、日本・韓国・台湾の3国を中心に、アジアにおける研究者ネットワークの拡大および本領域の成果を広く発信することが出来た。さらに、若手による異分野融合型の国際共同研究企画としてYoung Scientists Forum 2018を開催し、若手研究者間における国際連携の強化、および若手を通じた本領域研究活動の啓発にも取り組んだ。
