| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We held sessions in two international conferences over two fiscal years. Until FY2019, we invited several researchers from abroad to hold international symposia and lectures. We also published many papers in major international journals of various fields and played a major role in coordinating communication between researchers during the preparation process. Moreover, we carried out a development program for young researchers called "Taraosan Camp" from FY2016 to FY2018, and young researchers from Japan, China, USA, and others gathered at the Taraosan site and conducted research together. This program lead to an international recognition in this field.
Beside these activities, the International Activity Support Group played a significant role in concluding research agreements, coordinating research schedules, and publishing reports on research results, and the goals of the group activities were fully achieved.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
研究成果を発信する最終年度に開催予定であった2回の国際研究集会については、開催を断念せざるを得ない状況となったが、代替措置として、頻繁にメールやオンライン会議により中国ならびに諸外国の研究者と情報交換と成果共有を進めた。それが、『河姆渡と良渚：中国稲作文明の起源』（中村・劉（編）、雄山閣、2020年12月）、日中共同研究成果報告書I『中国江南の考古学』（中村慎一（編）、中国文明起源プロジェクト刊行、2021年3月）の出版、最終年度では、日中共同研究成果報告書Ⅱ『中国新石器時代文明の探求』（中村慎一（編）、中国文明起源プロジェクトおよび六一書房、2023年3月）の出版として結実した。
