| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study aims to promote the Paleo-Asian Cultural History Project by supporting the international research activities of project members. Two major achievements of this study are worth mentioning. First, the project helped establish an effective framework for research collaboration among overseas and domestic researchers. We encourage joint research programs with researchers from overseas institutions. Second, we organized international conferences and research meetings; the proceedings were published in English, disseminating the results of overseas academic surveys and joint research by those involved in the field. Furthermore, we dispatched young researchers to overseas institutions and assisted them in participating in field investigations. Our activities also included assisting project members in the editing and publishing of internationally co-authored books and journal papers. Overall, the study was undoubtedly successful.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究はアジアをフィールドとして新人（ホモ・サピエンス）の拡散と文化形成プロセスを調べるものであるが、その適切な遂行には国際的観点が欠かせない。まずは高度に専門分野が分化した現在、適切な研究協力者が海外にしか求められないことは珍しくなく、分野によっては国内研究者育成のために海外研究者との連携が必須となることもある。さらに、本研究領域の場合は、アジアを舞台とするものであるからアジア諸国と十分に連携することが前提となる。これらをふまえ、本研究が領域の国際活動を支援した学術的意義は大きい。アジア諸国との連携強化、共同研究成果の世界発信にも寄与した点、社会的意義も大であった。
