Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The processes of the dispersals of anatomically modern humans into regions of Eurasia represent one of the most intensively debated issues among paleoanthropologists and archaeologists today. The PaleoAsia project aimed to contribute to our better understanding of these processes in Asia from cultural perspectives. Particularly unique in this project is its emphasis on theoretical modelling as well as traditional archaeological and environmental field investigations. The steering committee made efforts to achieve integration of the research results produced from varied project members using their own different disciplines. The efforts eventually resulted in a large number of interdisciplinary research papers and books including many in English.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
