Outline of Annual Research Achievements

各研究計画班代表と事務局からなる総括班会議により策定して実行した.まず,パブリックアウトリーチの一環として,4月に東京・新宿・朝日カルチャーセンターにて「銀河系と太陽系の起源」全6回シリーズとして,本領域の計画研究代表者全員が市民講演会を行った.
10月に計画研究A03班の研究代表者の生駒は,国際会議"From protoplanetary disks through planetary system architecture to planetary atmospheres and habitability"を沖縄にて主宰した.これは国内外から参加者約130名を集めたものであり,本新学術領域の研究者が多く参加し成果報告を幅広く行った.また,計画研究B03班の研究代表者の田村は,系外惑星及び星周円盤を中心とした直接撮像観測についての世界最大の国際国際会議"In the Spirit of Lyot 2019"を東京にて主催した.こちらも国内外から百名以上の参加があり,本新学術領域の研究者が多く参加し,成果報告を幅広く行った.研究分担者の小林らは名古屋大学にて研究会"Planet formation in Protoplanetary disks with magnetized disk winds"を開催し,本領域に関わる若手研究者に発表の機会を与えた. また,年度末に本領域全体の大研究会をオンラインで開催した.
さらに,当初計画していたラボ・ローテーションとして複数名を別の研究拠点に派遣して共同研究を進めた.
これまで通りTV会議システムを利用した「星惑星形成ゼミ」を毎月開催し,毎回10拠点以上から40名以上が参加している.新学術領域のホームページの拡張も進めた.星・惑星形成分野での世界最大の国際会議であるProtostars & Planetsの開催準備も進めている.

2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.

Reason

2019年度末に,別の新学術領域「水惑星」とのジョイント会議を東京にて開催する予定だったが,コロカ禍が始まり,開催を断念した.代わりに,本領域のみの研究会を開催することで研究進捗状況の把握はできた.さらに,総括班メンバーが中心となって,二つの大きな国際会議を開催し,成功しているため,十分に研究が進んでいることが判断できた.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

現在はコロナ禍のため,対面式の研究集会の開催や国内外の研究者の派遣・招聘が困難である.また,本総括班活動の目玉の一つである,若手研究者のラボ・ローテーションの実行も困難である.そのため,オンライン形式の活動を最大限生かして研究活動を進めるように努める必要がある.2020年度中にその経験はかなり蓄積されたので,今後の研究の推進については順調にできると期待している.但し,観測機器を海外の観測所に移動させる計画については見通しが立っていないので,総括班としてどのようなサポートができるかを継続的検討する必要がある.
