Outline of Annual Research Achievements

(1)異分野融合と連携の推進:領域班会議および分科会を開催し、成果共有の場とした。さらに領域班会議と同時に総括班会議を行い、領域運営方針や総括班活動内容を議論した。
(2)サステナブル構造システム教育研究支援センター(SSSC):奈良先端大に設置したSSSCを中心に、5つの研究支援部門(力学測定/顕微操作、イメージング、画像解析/数理シミュレーション、構造解析/オミクス、化学分析)の活動を推進した。SSSCでは、共通機器による構造力学的解析支援の他、共同研究コンサルタント、技術ワークショップによる解析技術共有、若手研究者の技術習得支援を行った。
(3)次世代人材育成:博士研究員と博士課程大学院生を対象とした若手研究会を開催し、若手主体の研究討論の場とした。また、若手研究者に対して、所属研究室PIを主メンター、領域メンバー1名を副メンター、とするメンタリング制度を導入し、領域内の連携深化と若手育成の強化を推進した。
(4)国際活動:カナダUBC、フィンランドVTT、米国Georgia大、フランスENS de Lyon、英国ケンブリッジ大の5機関を主要海外拠点とし、これら拠点のコンタクトパーソンを加えた国際活動支援班を中心に、国際共同研究支援、海外卓越研究者の招聘、若手武者修行を含む国際人材交流を推進した。これにより、国際的な「サステナブル構造システム学」の開拓を推進した。また、オンサイト・オンラインハイブリッドの国際シンポジウムを開催した。
(5)情報発信:国内外学会における研究発表、国際学術誌での成果発表を行った。さらに領域ホームページでの成果の発信、各地での展示、市民講座、サイエンスカフェ、中学校・高校への出前授業等を企画し、一般向けにアウトリーチ活動を行った。
