Research Abstract

本領域研究は、多数の電子と正孔が関わる光学過程に着目し、光と物質に関する最先端の学術知識と既存の技術を融合し、その応用技術を生み出す土壌となる新しい学術領域を創ることを目的としている。このために、分光学・量子光学、半導体デバイス工学、ナノ材料化学、理論物理といった、既存の学問分野に分かれている研究者の組織的連携を図り、新たな視点での共同研究を促進し、学問体系の再整理と深化をはかる。総括班ではその実現のため、異分野研究の有機的連携と結合を推進するための活動を行う。また、人材育成の推進、新しい融合的な光科学の構築をめざす。そのため、総括班メンバーに、公募研究メンバーや外部専門家も適宜加え、各種の会議を率先して企画・運営する。本領域研究の成果をとりまとめて、領域内外へ再発信する。
