Research Abstract |
A Grant-in-aid for Scientific Research on Innovative Areas, "Face perception and recognition: Multidisciplinary approaching to understanding face processing mechanisms", was supported by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), Japan between 2008 and 2012. This project involves approximately forty researchers whose research fields are really multidisciplinary. Therefore, researchers are classified into the six groups. We have published many original articles, and we also edited special issues of three famous journals for researchers and a book for general persons. This project was very highly evaluated by not only researchers but also general persons including the mass media such as newspapers.
