| Research Abstract |
平成23年度には3回の総括班会議を開催し、領域全体の活動計画の立案とその着実な実施に努めた。主要な活動を以下に示す。
1.画像データベース収集の完了:昨年度までの収集データに新たに34症例を加え、当初の予定数200症例の収集を完了した。これらの症例に関して、15臓器のラベリング作業を進め、18症例(非造影11,造影7症例)のラベリングを完了し、各研究班への配布を行った。また、ラベリングのためのソフトウエアを研究班に配布し、ラベリング作業の加速化を図った。
2.共通ソフトウエア基盤整備:各研究班の研究成果を共有し、相互利用を可能ならしめるためのソフトウエア基盤"PLUTO"の更なる改良および新規機能の開発を進めた。また、その利用促進を図るための講習会を一般の参加者も含めた形で定期的に開催し、研究の一層の促進と社会還元を進めた。さらに、臓器セグメンテーションのための高機能ソフトウエアを一般公開し、計算解剖学全体の基盤強化を図った。
3.国際シンポジウム開催:計算解剖学の取り組みや研究成果を広く社会に披露すると同時に、著名な外国からの研究者を含めて国際シンポジウムを開催した。同時に、諮問委員による研究の進捗状況の評価をも行い、順調に研究が進展しているとの高い評価を得た。
4.計算解剖学サマースクールおよびウィンタースクールの開催:若手研究者の育成と研究室間の共同研究を一層促進し、グローバル化へ対応できる研究者として成長していくように、2泊3日の合宿形式で集中講義、討論、プレゼンテーションを実施し、所属している研究室だけでは得難い体験の場を提供した。

Current Status of Research Progress
2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.
Reason
昨年9月に行われた3年目の中間評価においては、期待以上の進展ぶりであるとして「A+」の評価をいただいた。さらに、2012年3月の諮問委員による評価においても、全員から高い評価をいただいた。これらからは進捗状況は(1)とも判断される。我々自身の判断では、3年目になって研究論文の数が急速に増加しており、研究班の間での連携も密になり、研究が実りの段階に入ったことが明確であり、全般的には(1)として良いと思われるものの、ごく一部で課題として残るところもあるため、自戒の意味も込めて(2)と判断した.

| Strategy for Future Research Activity |
本領域では"基礎→応用システム開発→臨床応用・評価→基礎・応用へのフィードバック"のサイクルが有効に機能することが必須である。研究開始から4年目に入り、各研究班で期待通りの研究成果が生まれ、それらを共有しつつ共同研究活動も密になってきており、上記のサイクルが閉じた状況になっている。総括班としては、最終目的に向けて順調に進むこれらの活動を側面からより加速すべく、共通プラットフォームを用いた研究成果の共有を進め、共通データベースをより強化し、研究の促進をはかりたい。また、計算解剖学の創生に必須の「学理構築」を進め、計算解剖学の学理を明確化すべく、総括班内のワーキンググループの活動を促進する予定である。
