| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
「人ロボット共生学」領域の目的は，人と人，人とロボットが互いに相手を育て合う「ヒューマン・ロボット・ラーニング」を共通テーマとして，HRIと学習科学という二つの研究領域が双方を高め合い，それらを認知科学が支える3領域が融合し合う新学術領域を創成することであった．平成25年度（及び繰越しに関わる期間）の研究では，人とロボットが関わり合う長期実践研究の本格化，及び研究成果の国内外への発信を主目的とした．
研究成果として1点目については，一般の小学校の理科室にロボットを常駐させ，そこで児童から得た質問をネットワーク越しに専門家に問い合わせる仕組みを整える一方で，教室に張り巡らせたセンサリングシステムで子供の動きや表現，言動をモニタリングして授業改善につなげるなど，「未来の教室」をイメージできる実践を実施した．2点目については，研究成果報告書や他の学術論文，国内外学会，一般向けの成果発表も含め，広く成果の周知を図った．また，世界に向けた発信としてSpringer社のCSCLシリーズでの発刊準備を進めた．
さらに，両者を融合した成果として，ロボットを介した高度に理学・工学融合的な実践研究を進める傍らで，ロボット抜きでも一般の教員が成果を享受できるような教育方法の基盤強化を図った．具体的には，研究の一つの柱としてきた授業法「知識構成型ジグソー法」がどのような条件下で機能するか（例：司会や説明の補助の有無等）を同定し，教員が「ロボット抜き」でも簡単に対話データを収集し音声認識し分析するサイクルを提案して，小中高の教育現場に広く導入できる準備を整えた．その成果が次期学習指導要領の改訂に関する中教審諮問において，これからの時代に必要な学び方「アクティブ・ラーニング」の一類型として上記授業法が紹介されることに繋がった．
