質感認知の脳神経メカニズムと高度質感情報処理技術の融合的研究

Research Abstract

領域発足直後の7月15日に第1回の総括班会議を開催し、速やかに計画した研究を開始するために具体的な研究の方針や公募の方針の議論を行いスケジュールを策定した。それにもとづき9月25日に公開のキックオフシンポジウムを東京大学山上会館で開き、領域の活動紹介および公募内容の説明を行った。また領域発足後、速やかに領域のホームページを公開し、領域活動の周知を図った。また総括班連絡会議を主にWeb会議システムを用いて3月を除く毎月行い、緊密に研究の状況や領域の方針について意見交換を行った。2011年1月14、15日にKKR熱海で領域班会議を開いてすべての計画代表者、分担研究者、連携研究者による研究内容の発表と議論を行うと共に、班員間で情報を交換し、それぞれの研究テーマの推進に役立てることを試みた。また9月と10月に領域内の研究集会を行い、工学、心理物理学、脳科学分野での質感認知に関わる研究の紹介と議論を行い、異分野の研究理解の深化に努めた。更に領域外の文化財の専門家及び画像工学の専門家を交えて伊藤若沖の絵画内の金色表現の原理について検討会を開いた。キックオフシンポジウムと領域班会議に合わせて、第2回、第3回の総括班会議を行い、領域アドバイザーにも参加いただいて研究内容や研究方針について意見を述べていただき、領域運営の参考とした。また視覚刺激呈示装置と暗室を備えた心理物理実験室を質感認知の現場に持ち込んで実験するためのモバイルラボ(移動型視覚心理物理実験室)を共通設備として導入し豊橋技大に設置した。
