Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本計画研究では、爆発に至る太陽面磁場の発達過程から、噴出するプロミネンスの運動、およびそれに伴って発生するコロナ中の衝撃波と質量放出(CME)を全国の関連機関が連携して観測し、電磁流体方程式に基づく数値モデルでこれらを再現することによって、地球を襲う太陽嵐を実時間予測する方法論と、確度の高いフレア発生予測スキームの開発を目指している。R1年度も引き続き、ひので衛星による光球磁場観測、国立天文台のフィラメント磁場観測、京大飛騨天文台のプロミネンス放出速度観測、NICT山川観測所の電波バースト観測、名大惑星間シンチレーション観測システム(IPS)による太陽風の観測を順調に実施したが、太陽活動の低下に伴い太陽嵐現象の発生頻度は低下している。しかしこれまでに蓄積されたデータを用いて、以下のような太陽嵐予報の実用化に向けた研究が進展した。非線形フォースフリー磁場モデルに基づき磁気中性線における磁場の捻れに関連付けられたパラメータが、数時間のリードタイムで大きなフレアの発生予測に有効であることを検証し、予測システムに実装する道筋を明らかにした。また、深層学習によるフレア発生予測システムはNICTにて運用を開始し、IPSデータをCME伝搬モデルに同化することによるCME到達予測、及び電波バーストの自動検出についても予測システムへの実装を完了した。観測されたフィラメント放出の特徴量とCMEの発生有無の関係を調査し、またMHDモデルを用いてフィラメント噴出を再現することにより、CME発生予測に有益ないくつかの知見を得た。
2019年8月6~9日には東北大学において2回目の太陽高エネルギー粒子データ解析ワークショップを開催、3名の講師を海外から招き十数人の学生や若手研究者の参加を得て、CMEと太陽高エネルギー粒子の発生に関する統計解析をおこない、数編の論文執筆を進めた。
