Outline of Annual Research Achievements

反応制御が容易で反応駆動に要する試薬が不要な有機電解プロセスの効率的なインテグレーション法を開拓し、生物活性物質や機能性中分子の創成に適用できる方法論として確立する。とくに、電解プロセスで発生させた短寿命活性種の時間的・空間的な制御を念頭に置き、マイクロフロー技術との融合を推し進める。また、フロー技術の特長を活かした反応集積化により機能性中分子の効率合成を目指すことを最終目標に置いている。
平成28年度は「電解反応をキーステップとする連続フロー反応システムの開発」に主眼を置き、カテコールの電解還元による不安定なo-ベンゾキノンの生成と引き続く求核剤などとの反応による二段階連続反応を実施した。その結果、フローリアクターを用いることで電解発生したo-ベンゾキノンをほとんど分解させることなく、後続のチオフェノール類との反応に供することができ、目的のカップリング生成物を高収率で得ることに成功した。このような反応は従来のバッチ型リアクターでは実現不可能であり、フローマイクロリアクターの有用性が検証された。また、カップリングパートナーをチオフェノール類からフルベンにすることで、ディールス・アルダー反応生成物を高収率で得ることにも成功した。このように電解技術とフローリアクターを融合させた電気化学マイクロリアクターは効率的な電解発生活性種の発生と迅速な後続化学反応への利用を可能とする極めて有益な合成ツールとなることが明らかとなった。

Reason

使用する電気化学マイクロリアクターは原則として予備研究と同一のものを利用するため、セル設計に要する時間は必要としなかった。また、検討するパラメーターは多岐に渡るが、本テーマに熟練した大学院学生に協力いただいたお陰で結論導出のためのデータが蓄積できた。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

次年度以降はA02班班長の中田雅久教授(早大)および計画班員の野上准教授(鳥取大)と実質的な共同研究を実施し、それぞれ短寿命活性種を利用した合成中間体の効率合成ならびに電解グリコシル化による生物活性オリゴ糖の大量合成を推し進める予定である。
