Outline of Annual Research Achievements

●相互作用に誘起される新奇なトポロジカル相の研究を行った。冷却フェルミ原子系に対してトポロジカル分類Zが相関効果でZ4となることを示し、実験系を提案した。さらに相互作用によるサウレスポンプの崩壊の理論を提案した。●パリティー時間対称な系や散逸のあるボース・アインシュタイン凝縮体などを記述する非エルミート系においては、時間反転対称性と粒子―正孔対称性がトポロジカルに統一されることを示した。それに基づき、トポロジカル相の分類を行った。非エルミートなチャーン絶縁体の端状態の異常性を明らかにした。●K群とスペクトル系列の手法を使い、トポロジカル結晶絶縁体に関して磁気点群のある場合の分類を行った。また、結晶対称性とスピン軌道相互作用によって高次スピンをもつ電子系に対してトポロジカル絶縁体・超伝導体としての性質を調べ、その特徴を明らかにした。●超伝導体におけるヒッグスモードの現れる条件を対称性から求めた。中性子のP波(3P2)超流動の高磁場効果をギンツブルグ・ランダウ理論の範囲で調べた。核子超流動とクォーク超流動に境界があるのかないのかという問題について、渦が突き刺さる場合を調べ、ブージャム構造が現れることを示した。●ベリー曲率の効果を取り込んだ準古典輸送理論を構築し、ワイル超伝導体のカイラル異常に起因した特異な量子現象を明らかにした。U(1)磁束渦やスキルミオン構造のような実空間テクスチャ構造か゛創発的な電磁場としてワイル準粒子のカイラリティに結合し、負の熱磁気効果や捻れ場由来のカイラル磁気効果などが生じることを見出した。 ●4次元時空において、自由なディラックフェルミオンと真空角θ=πを伴うスカラーQEDが双対であること、トポロジカル相転移とヒッグス・閉じ込め相転移が対応していること、ディラックフェルミオンがスカラーボソンとダイオン対の複合粒子として実現していること、を提唱した。

Reason

当初の予定どおり、順調に研究が進んでいる。
【強相関系】強相関系トポロジカル相に関して得られたトポロジカル分類のリダクションや相互作用によるサウレスポンプの崩壊の理論は、これまでの1体問題としてのトポロジカル現象の枠組みを超えて多体系の新奇なトポロジカル現象の典型例となっている。
【非エルミート系】散逸効果を含む非エルミート系のトポロジカル現象は、新たな分野として注目されている。上田、佐藤、川上ら本研究計画のメンバーはこの分野へ多くの寄与をしている。今後、非エルミートトポロジカル相の研究が急速に進むと考えられる。
【対称性を用いた分類理論】磁気点群対称性に基づくトポロジカル結晶絶縁体の分類や高次スピンをもつトポロジカル絶縁体・超伝導体の性質の解明は、このテーマの新たな発展として重要である。
【中性子星におけるトポロジカル相】中性子のP波(3P2)超流動に関して核子超流動とクォーク超流動の境界にブージャム構造が出現がし得ることを指摘し、昨年度までの成果を大きく進展させた。
【ワイル超伝導】ワイル超伝導体のカイラル異常に関連する研究として、負の熱磁気効果や捻れ場由来のカイラル磁気効果などの特異な量子現象の出現とその起源を明らかにすることができた。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

●非平衡および強相関系に現れるトポロジカル相の研究を推進する。特に、強相関電子系において相互作用に起因する寿命効果が生み出すトポロジカルな性質を有限温度において明らかにする。●引き続き非エルミート系の物理を中心に探究する。特に、ランダム行列の性質と多体局在効果が非エルミート性によってどのように変更を受けるかを明らかにする。また、非平衡トポロジカル系のダイナミックスをエンタングルメントスペクトルの観点から研究する。●非エルミートトポロジカル相の分類およびその普遍的な性質を明らかにする。特に、非エルミート系特有の新しい対称性、あるいは複素エネルギーに伴うギャップの概念の拡張によって現れる新規なトポロジカルな現象を調べる。また、トポロジカル超伝導体におけるマヨラナ励起の多重子応答を調べる。●中性子3P2超流動の渦状態の相図をGinzburg-Landau理論の枠内で決定する。同様の渦状態の解を準古典近似で構成する。3P2超流動の基底状態に現れる3重臨界点の臨界指数を調べる。また、基底状態がサイクリック相やフェロ相になる条件を調べる。3P2相の境界の効果を調べる。それらの中性子星への応用を議論する。●ベリー曲率の効果を取り込んだ準古典輸送理論を用いて、より系統的にワイル超伝導体固有の輸送現象を調べる。また、トポロジカル超伝導体に現れるマヨラナ準粒子のBraidingについて断熱近似を超えた数値シミュレーションを行い、非断熱性やマヨラナ粒子間の量子干渉効果に対する非可換統計性やトポロジカル量子ビットの耐性について明らかにしていく。●トポロジカル超流動・超伝導系やトポロジカル絶縁体系に対して対称性に基づいた有効場の理論を構築し、その物理的帰結を解明する。また、双対性に基づいて、強相関トポロジカル相への新しいアプローチを構築する。
