Outline of Annual Research Achievements

電子の電荷、クーパペア、スピン、核スピンとフォトン、フォノンとのハイブリッド化において以下の研究を行った。
1)マイクロ波共振器中に設置した半導体ナノワイアで作製した2重結合量子ドットにおいて、その共振特性の測定結果と解析から、単一光子レベルでの結合は認められたものの、強結合状態が実現できていないことがわかった。2)HgTeトポロジカル絶縁体からなるジョセフソン接合において4pai周期のエネルギー位相関係をを示唆するマイクロ波放射を観測した。3)量子ホール強磁性状態での核スピン偏極に対するカイラルエッジチャンネルの影響を明らかにした。また、量子ポイントコンタクト(QPC)の伝導特性についてQPC中心部と周囲の充填率を適当に選ぶことで、QPCの抵抗傑出NMRが可能になることを示した。さらに、フォノン班との共同研究に向けてブリッジ構造上へのQPCの作製を完了した。4)グラフェンのひずみ効果を用いたバンドギャップ形成については、自己形成組織化膜の凹凸構造を使い、周期40 nmの周期ひずみ導入の方法を確立した。また、微小な層状超伝導体薄膜における量子渦糸状態制御の研究に着手し、層状超伝導体の試料作製方法の検討を行った。5)量子計測に適したナノカーボン合成技術として、核スピンをもつ13Cを制御してカーボンナノチューブ中に導入する成長法やキャリア散乱の抑制が期待できる超低欠陥ナノカーボン材料の超高温プロセス成長技術の検討を進めた。6)極微細配線であるCNTとダイヤモンドのNVセンタのハイブリッド量子構造を創出し、NVセンターの量子情報の電気的制御の実現を目指している。7)磁性トポロジカル絶縁体薄膜で観測される量子異常ホール状態のおける波動関数の局在長を実験的に求めた。低温では電気伝導特性が不純物準位を介した可変領域ホッピング伝導が支配的になり、局在長が比較的長くなることが分かった。

2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.

Reason

1)共振器中のフォトンとスピンの相互作用では、フォトン1個のレベルで相互作用を実現できたことは大きな成果である。ただし、電荷のノイズが問題であることが分かった。2)トポロジカル絶縁体を用いたジョセフソン接合では順調に成果が出ている。しかし、より高度な実験を行うためにデバイス作成プロセスが容易でないことも分かった。3)GaAsQPCをベースにした高感度抵抗検出NMRについて予定通りの成果が得られている。また、InSb系量子ホール系で量子ホール強磁性と核スピン偏極について高く評価される成果が得られた。フォノンとQPC内のスピン、核スピン状態の量子結合に向けた研究も進展し、他の領域内共同研究も順調である。4)ひずみ効果については、電子線描画に加え、自己組織化膜を使った新しいひずみ導入方法を開発したことで、バンドギャップの増大のためのひずみ周期微細化の目処が立った。超伝導体の渦糸制御については、反応性プラズマエッチング、収束イオンビーム加工が超伝導特性に与える影響が明らかになり、渦糸制御のための試料作製が可能となった。5)昨年度構築した13Cナノカーボン成長装置を活用した13C/12C-カーボンナノチューブ成長を検討し、格子中の同位体比が気相原料での比率と異なる現象を見出した。カーボンナノオニオンを核とした超高温(1000℃以上)プロセスによって欠陥を著しく低減(ラマンスペクトルでDバンド/Gバンド強度比が1/200以下)したカーボンナノチューブの合成に成功した。6)配向したNVセンタをもつダイヤモンド基板上にCNTデバイスを作り込み、フォトン班の早瀬らと共同で、NVセンターのODMRによる電流検出の実験を進めている。7)これまでに低温領域における、不純物準位を介した可変領域ホッピング伝導の様子を明らかにした。また磁化方向制御によるトポロジカル量子相転移現象を実現した。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

1)電荷を介したマイクロ波共振器中のフォトンとスピンの強結合相互作用は電荷ノイズの影響で容易でないことが分かったがその改善を試みる。2)より機能的なトポロジカルジョセフソン接合を作製するため、デバイスプロセスが容易な材料系の探索を行い、これまでと同様の測定を行う。3)抵抗検出NMRを用いたGaAsQPC物性の高感度計測を進める。また、InSb系でもQPCを完成させ、新規材料に核スピン高感度計測を広げる。さらに、ブリッジ上にQPCを配置した構造でフォノン、スピン、核スピンの量子結合の研究を進める。4)ひずみ効果については、電気伝導からバンドギャップ形成を検証する。また、伝導の周期依存、周期数依存を調べ、トランジスタ微細化の可能性を検討する。渦糸制御については、NbSe2試料について、渦糸の侵入・排出、渦糸配置、渦糸状態制御の実験を行い、渦糸状態の制御とその量子性発現についての知見を得る。5)13C-12C界面組成のナノスケール計測を行うとともに、人為的な欠陥形成による特定部位への13C導入方法の検証をおこなう。他班と協力して作製した構造の物性測定を行う。6)孤立したダイヤモンドNVセンターと1本のCNT細線のハイブリッド構造を実現する。具体的には、高純度ダイヤモンド基板の表面付近にイオン注入により孤立したNVセンターを形成する。この上に孤立したCNTを浮遊触媒CVD法により配置し、電子線リソグラフィーにより2端子デバイスを作製する。NVセンターとCNTとの間のエネルギー移動を利用して、NVセンターのスピンの状態を電気的に読み出すことを目指す。7)磁化方向制御によるトポロジカル量子相転移の詳細を明らかにするために、膜厚の異なる複数の試料について調べる。相転移点の膜厚依存性から、この相転移に関与する特徴的なエネルギースケールを明らかにする。
