Outline of Annual Research Achievements

電荷とスピンをハイブリッドさせる系として、量子物質と超伝導体とのハイブリッド構造、化合物半導体、ナノカーボン材料、2次元物質などを取り上げた。
1)InAsナノワイアとNbを用いてinsituジョセフソン接合を形成し、ハードギャップが形成されていることを確認した。また、マイクロ波共振器と結合させることによりアンドレーエフ束縛状態のエネルギースペクトルを測定することができた。WTe2ではhBN薄膜スタック技術、電極形成プロセスを開発し、デバイスの電気伝導測定が可能となった。磁性トポロジカル絶縁体では、ホール抵抗の量子化値が100万分の1以下の精度で量子化することを見出した。また、磁化方向回転による量子異常ホール相からのトポロジカル相転移に関して、相転移の臨界指数を実験的に決定した。NbSe2薄膜における渦糸侵入の検出に成功した。
2)半導体量子構造の基本である量子ポイントコンタクト(QPC)の伝導特性に関してチャネル中の電子が感じる歪の四重極分離による高感度測定に成功した。InSb二次元系での抵抗検出NMR、GaAs量子ドットでの単一正孔のコヒーレント操作、多重パルス列を用いた核スピンのコヒーレンスを決める雑音測定など量子制御につながる成果も得られた。
3)絶縁物基板上乱層グラフェン薄膜はテンプレートグラフェン上に無触媒CVD法で直接合成した。乱層・多層薄膜での単層性発現や環境効果遮蔽により、移動度や伝導度などキャリア輸送特性の著しい向上を見出した。さらにキャリア輸送特性を磁場を印加した低温で計測し、位相緩和長や弾性散乱長の解析から、量子デバイスとしての性能向上にはドメイン境界や欠陥密度の低減が重要であることを明らかにした。1本のカーボンナノチューブに流れる電流によりNVセンターのエネルギー状態の変調を実証することができた。
