Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究は広天域分光銀河サーベイを念頭に、その宇宙論統計量を用いた宇宙論解析手法の開発し、現在の宇宙の加速膨張の起源を解明することを目的としている。新学術領域に属する研究者と協力して、宇宙背景放射、銀河イメージングサーベイを包括的に組み合わせて、宇宙論パラメータを制限する手法を開発している。
2019度の成果としては、以下の通りである。(1) すばるHyper Suprime-Camのデータによる重力レンズ効果の効果と、全く独立な宇宙背景放射地上実験Polarbearの重力レンズ効果のあいだの物理的な相関を測定することに成功した (Chinone, Miyatake et al. 2019)。これはz=1000の宇宙背景放射とz~1程度の銀河の手前にある共通の大規模構造がそれらのデータに同様の重力レンズ効果を引き起こしている証拠であり、世界で初めての測定結果である。(2) 宇宙初期の加速膨張インフレーションから形成した可能性がある原始ブラックホールはダークマターの有力候補である。アンドロメダ銀河のすばるデータを用い、原始ブラックホールによる重力マイクロレンズ効果を探査した結果、原始ブラックホールのイベントは見つからなかったが、月質量程度の原始ブラックホールの存在量について世界で初めて上限を課すことに成功した(Niikura et al. Nature Astronomy, 2019)。赤外カメラの開発については、プリンストン大学、ジョンズホプキンス大学の研究者らと協力して、検出器の性能評価を進めた。具体的には、検出器の制御システムおよび画像データ解析ソフトを開発・改良し、動作確認、各ピクセルの電荷許容量、バッドピクセルマップなど基本的な性能を確認した。
